I'm a Belgium firefighter and collector of fire helmets, my life exists
only to help fight against fire. Like every firefighter of the world it is a
dream of mine to visit US firefighters. So I will do that in 2008. I'm
looking for information or help for my trip. I will be coming for a 2 or 3
weeks. I plan to drive around your country and would like information on
places or city's to visit. I also would like to visit fire stations on my
trip (my home is open all year for firefighters on vacation over here, so I
look for persons with the same spirit). If you can help me with nice
places-motels (cheap but good)- guest families -or tips for my visit your
help is welcomed. I live in Ypre, a city with a lot of WW1 history, and also
this has my interest. So anybody who would like to visit my city and
needs a guide I'm always happy to help you.See you soon and kind regards
from Belgium.

I am looking for any pictures you have of Milton Johnson Hill, Firefighter of the year in 1978. I know that he was a long time firefighter and then was with Emergency Management as Director. He retired in May of this year, 2007. He lives in Coleman, Florida, in Sumter County, Florida. Any pictures you have on file would be wonderful, I am trying to make a nice surprise in pictures of this time in his life. Look forward to hearing from you, really soon.
Thanks

Information wanted on a
Hallock Chemical Fire Truck. Manufactured
in Medina, Ohio between 1913 and 1918, based on a Model T chassis. Only 22
manufactured. I have the only known survivor, a 1916 that we have traced to
a large Ford truck dealer in Orlando, Fla. (Heintzelmans Truck Center), to
about 1947. Would like to know the original department that had it, or if
anyone has information about any other departments that had one (pictures
would help a lot in the restoration!) For a story and photos on this unit
click here. Thanks for your help. Sincerely, Thomas Doyle 330-725-6969

I am a Firefighter from Hertfordshire in the UK and I am going to visit Florida on holiday early next year with my family,
and another Firefighter colleague and his wife. We would very much like to make contact with some Florida Firefighters
while we are there. We are flying in to Miami on the 21 March 2002 and driving up to Davenport,
Florida to stay in a Holiday home for three weeks before driving back down to Miami.
My Friend Carl is flying direct to Orlando a week later and leaving around the same time as us.
We are interested in making contact with some full time Florida firefighters, maybe visiting a
fire station and/or socializing for a day or two (Carl loves his Golf!)
Please reply to: john-print@supanet.com or carl@onlinegolfclub.net
