Firefighter of The Year

Each year the Florida State Firefighters' Association sponsors the Firefighter of the Year Awards. One selected from each of four divisions, Career, Dispatcher, Forestry and Volunteer. The winners are selected from the nominations turned into the Association, and awards presented to the winners at the Installation Dinner, on Friday night. Make sure your department has a candidate for the Firefighter of the Year. Click here for an application.

Grants Presentation

Each year at our Annual Conference, we award the Grants. They can be used for purchasing new equipment, training, public education, or anything you feel can improve the performance of our department. The process is simple, you fill out the on line form, submit it, and the committee will review and select the recipients. For 2009 we will be awarding 10 grants of $2500 each.

1. Your department must be in the State of Florida.
2. You must have 2 representatives, from your department, attend the Installation/Awards dinner, to receive the grant.
3. The form must be filled out and submitted before June 5th.

Firematics

On Saturday morning there will be a firematics competition taking place. The event will consist of 6 fire related events. 
Each event requires a team of 5, with a maximum of 10 members making up the entire team.
